Reaady cost in the Ready phase?

Hi,

So, I'm new to TCC and have one question so far...
In the Ready phase, all Captains may ready their exerted cards.

Every card has a value next to the Expense value Icon which tells how many credits the card is worth.
Does that value also count as a cost to Ready that card once it has been exerted ?

There is no cost to a card during the Ready Phase, unless some other effect imposes one.

Costs are something that have to be affirmatively imposed, they aren't implied. For instance, during the Resource Phase captains are entitled to collect the resource tokens from their and without paying any cost, though that's not explicitly stated.
