Just wondering. I can't seem to get through it without BK. Cost gets too high.

Are you trying with just the default ship decks? Some of the solo play scenarios may require players to build custom decks.

The way I succeeded was to not commit to a contract for the first 5 rounds or so. I concentrated on getting my tableau set up initially. When I felt like I had enough resources to handle most of the contracts, I then started to try and complete them. Played that strategy 3 times with the Beowulf. Won on the third try.

That's a clever strategy! Weren't you at all worried by the build up of
?

It took more than a few times and several deck changes, but I beat scenario 2. Admittedly by the skin of my teeth.
At the last contract (which in itself I was guaranteed to fulfill based on my resources) I had two complications.
I had no more cards in my library, and one card in hand (Calling in a Marker). The first complication (Wanted) sent a
to my hand. Then I could play the
Calling in a Marker using my Scout ability and discard my
card for the remaining
. Lucky me!
I reach the 20
with no credits left, but felt richer than ever.
After several missed attempts at this scenario, I discovered that I needed more
. So I decided to remove some cards and replace them with cards like Glitch and Time is Money purely for paying
, which is the key to beating this scenario. Normally I would not include these cards in my deck but for this solo scenario they proved vital.
By the way, brilliant game! Love it to bits, even though I only have the Starter at this moment.

Sorry for the delay in replying, we were all at
DunDraCon!
Congratulations on defeating Scenario 2!
is often an overlooked aspect when it comes to deck building, but there's definitely a lot of utility in having some high value cards available. Did you consider
at all? I'm a big fan of them (in non-solo play I consider Lost and Found to be almost a no-brainer), and they do all have 2
(except for Reliance on Professionals).

Yes my deck contained 8
. comprising the cards Contingency, Reap the Whirlwind and Personal Intervention.
Even if you do not have the required
, the
always serve a second purpose as currency.

I flew the Type S Scout
. Its event reducing ability is great, and 3
is most of the times sufficient (welcome, BuffBot-3000).

We'd love to see your decklist, if you're willing to share!
