Have you tried Traveller solo yet? If so, how did it go? If not, why not?

So far it's about the only way I have played. I do like it and if nothing else it helps in getting the rules down. I also find it to be a good way to give a deck a test run so to say. There is still plenty of twists and changes to make it a challenging game each time. I've not tried the new "A curious sequence of events". This one looks like quite a challenge.

My first game earlier this week was solo, just to ensure I know the rules.

Yeah. I tried it with a deck I had lying around and got pummeled. I'm going to need to build a custom deck before I try again.

I purchased the game expressly for its solo play. I have the Type S Scout on the table right now...

I got the game today and tried the first scenario. Question about placing new obstacles. If I need to swap out obstacles, do I get to choose whether it's a face up or face down one? Important if I know the new obstacle and want to trade it for an existing one that is harder.

You get to choose. However, remember you have to choose one already attached, which I'm pointing out just to say you can't choose to get rid of the new :complication.

In this time of lock-down looks like I'll be getting in more solo play. I just did a run with my Type S Scout :ship and it went well. I wanted to use the RVD super dense :hull but it's for a 200 ton ship, rats. Having Euphorias Fleta as a crew member is very nice with that :jack+ gives more options. With only 3 crew you have chose wisely. And only one for each mount point for :upgrade makes more tough choices. I'd been playing the Beawolf Free Trader and this is quite a different game with the scout.
