Recently got back into this and tried to build a decklist which could beat any / . Playing solo I'd prefer to have the entire set of adventure cards to pick from, as I think you're making it easier on yourself otherwise. It does mean you need to be able to cover all resources and sometimes filter out the available . This is my list. Definitely open to suggestions on it. I won playing the Empress Marava but the Beowulf might be better suited.

Have you considered Defensive Mines? Under the rules, when you encounter an enemy as part of a , you can elect to be either the attacker or defender. That card will get you the you need, and it doesn't have a cost to use the ability so you may find it cheaper than other options.
