Re: TravellerDB Closing

TravellerDB is coming up on its renewal on 2/11/2022. At that point the domain and hosting expires. The cost to run the site for 1 year is $222 and for 2 years is $444. Unfortunately, my motivation to keep the site running as well as my justification for this amount of expense will not allow the si...

Re: Encountering A Favor Returned on the very first turn

Hello to all, Quick question about encountering A Favor Returned :complication on the very first turn of the game. This :complication requires one to jettison a :connection or lose 1 :vp. If I don't have a :connection, am I supposed to lose one :vp, taking my total :vp to - 1? I wasn't sure, becaus...

Re: Q-Ship Conversion: will this upgrade's effect still exist if the upgrade gets destroyed after the effect was generat

Hello to the community, This :upgrade allows me to :exert it and pay :credit2 in order to provide +4 :av until the end of the round. Let's say I generate this effect early in the round, and later on I encounter a complication that requires me to jettison an upgrade. If the upgrade is destroyed will...

Re: A slight variation

Playing from a random pool is an interesting idea, though because of the "match-this-to-resolve-that" dynamic of the game, it can lead to some sticky situations and I wonder how often Kedvenc finds that he defaults to his adventure card slots as opposed to the randoms? Drawing the :complication from...

Re: Complications with adventures and complications

I think I tumbled over a bit of a contradiction :) Reading the folded flyers that come with ship decks I found that the complications :complication on a contract :contract are drawn, then NOT looked at and then put on a contract. But in the rule book it reads as if I draw a contract card / complicat...

If the :contract is completed by any captain then I assume all other captains, regardless of whether they completed or not, are then uncommitted once the :contract is replaced?
Correct!

Re: Resolution Phase Question

Two captains are committed to the same :contract . The rules say in initiative order. If the first captain completes the :contract the rules say to discard it. Does this mean the second captain cannot now complete the contract? In my mind this makes thematic sense as the captain with the highest in...

Re: Playtesting First Solo Campaign

We're trying to finalize another ship pack and an errata pack, so that we can put them up at the same time on Drive-Thru-Cards as the solo pack. This way people can get them all without paying so much in shipping, which is a concern especially for UK/EU fans who find the shipping costs prohibitive f...

But, at base, I am a Classic Traveller.
It's hard to go wrong with its simplicity and functionality. I think for myself I prefer a bit more modern production values, which is why I go to Mongoose's version, but definitely the LBBs are fantastic.
