Re: Apprentice Traveller...

:use is an :action that requires :exert. There's a couple of places this information appears in the rulebook, typically in sidebars (to highlight it). So in the case of Jim Thorne, it would make more sense to give Armed Gig to someone else. But remember, :gear can be moved during the Ready Phase, so...

Re: Lt. Cmdr Sir Sandar van Othlezee Replenish?

Yeah, that's because the version of Sandar that was printed was from the old file (of which I was unaware at the time of the errata). When the crew cards get reprinted, his version will be corrected at the same time.

Re: Favorite Traveller RPG Version?

I chose GURPS Traveller, mostly due to the fact that it is the only campaign (set in the Reft - Islands Cluster of Trillion Credit Squadron fame) we are currently playing, on- and off-ish. Still love my old Traveller and MegaTraveller books, though - and would give newer versions a chance if there ...

Re: When will the store open...

We're working through the last of the main fulfillment packages and we've made some progress on the problem cases. It'll take us time to push out the reprinted cards to backers. We want to be at least a good way through that process before we offer anything for sale. The last thing we want is for ba...

Re: Upgrade Restrictions & Tonnage

Your second understanding is correct. To be specifically clear, the number of :upgrade a :ship may attach is limited by the slots bar. But any attached :upgrade must have a tonnage requirement equal to or less than the :ship tonnage. So the Beowulf may attach multiple 200 ton :upgrade, provided it h...

Re: Exerted crew and skills

Yup, each turn was a crap shoot - do I expend him for Resource A or leave him un-expended for Resource B (a decision that invariably we guessed wrong with)? Playing it correctly will be a great help. I know a lot of our players are new to CCGs, so I apologize for over-explaining if you're an old ha...

Oooo, another rule I messed up, glad you asked!
We felt if :crew didn't provide tokens while exerted, that would compete with their :action and :heroics. Skill tokens are so important that they'd almost always be the preferable option if you had to choose.

Re: Favorite Traveller RPG Version?

I like the Mongoose version quite a bit too. Familiar, but with enough new stuff to make it interesting. Central Supply Catalog is one of my favorites, I like all the art.
