Re: Can events such as Bwap Advisors and 3PL be played at any time?

That :heroics are normally one-use cards is present in all the card anatomy rules. See especially pg. 33 of the rulebook. No :heroics are used in the examples of play given in the rulebook. Perhaps that would have made their use more clear? Some :heroics can be attached to :crew, or :ship like Bodyg...

Re: Confusing Cards

I'm a bit confused as to whether cards that target a :complication with a specific trait, like Extrapolated Readings or Negotiated Non-Aggression, can be used on a face-down :complication or whether it has to be revealed first. There are cards that let a player look at an unrevealded :complication w...

Re: TravellerDB and Support moving forward

Politics. It seems to get into everything these days, doesn't it? Even card games that as far as I can tell are completely apolitical. I'll just say that if I only listened, read, played, or watched works where the creators were 100% in agreement with my political views I would have an extremely sma...

Re: Least Favorite Cards

Drop Capsules do have the advantage that they are Trifling while the sensor suite takes up an :internal slot. :credit3 for a :vp seems like a pretty fair exchange on a ship that already generates :military, actually.

Re: Premium Tokens to a good home

I have 4 sets myself, and may I say that the tokens are very nice. Seeing them on the website doesn't do them justice.

Re: Teaching the Game to newbies

The :use indicates that the :crew equipped with the :gear also has to :exert before the :gear is jettisoned, which restricts somewhat the other actions the :crew can take for the rest of the turn. And no, the :crew won't have the :social- benefit of the Babel translator during the Resource phase if ...

Re: Teaching the Game to newbies

The icons are something of a barrier, but at least these are well-designed icons. I played Fantasy Flight's Star Wars RPG for a year and still at times had to stop and think before i could decipher all the icons on their dice. And their rulebooks all use them too, which can make for difficult readin...

Re: Paying a cost in credits: can you always expend cards from your captain's deck?

Technically correct. But someone whose Captain's Deck is empty is certainly in trouble if he can't pull off a victory in the next turn or so.

Where can you order these now? They don't seem to be in the store on this site.

Re: Paying a cost in credits: can you always expend cards from your captain's deck?

The main limitation is that once the Captain's Deck is gone then you're bankrupt and out of the game.
The second limitation is that you might end up paying :credit2 or :credit3 for a :credit1 expense. If you are paying from your hand instead of the deck you can pay exact change, as it were.
