Re: What is "Hindrance"?

Yes, That description of "Police Raid" matches my understanding. And my use of " :gear :weapon " was meant to equate to "Gear of subtype Weapon" But, I intended it to lead to Two points which I may not have made as prominent as I wanted. Point 1 : Gaining the Attribute "Unsavory" is not a Hindrance ...

Re: What is "Hindrance"?

OK, To take this from the card which sparked the question: "Police Raid" (Subsidized Merchant Ship #30) Action Phase :admin- :action _ :exert : Inflict 1 :wounds on target :crew, :exert it, then attach this card to the target as a Hindrance. Attached gains Unsavory. :admin+ :action : As above, then ...

Re: Easter Egg Hunt! "Reap the whirlwind"

Hmm, This one is tough because it is a question of what you intended? There is the common phrase: "They that sow the wind, shall reap the whirlwind" Then there is the Star Trek novel: "Reap the Whirlwind" by David Mack And then, there is Misty ( Lackey, but Misty in the SCA) and Caroline's(Cherryh) ...

Re: Easter Egg Hunt! - ‎Eddie Antar and the "Crazy Eddie" consumer electronics chain

I'm guessing the card "Crazy Eddy's Discount Depot" from the Beowulf deck is based on the infamous Eddie Antar, who founded ERS Electronics(later renamed "Crazy Eddie") with his family and later plead guilty to crimes related to the collapse of that chain?

The image looks nothing like Mr. Antar

Re: Easter Egg Hunt! - Hogan's Heroes

Not sure if this was intentional....
However the text on the card: "Mark Appleton" reading- "I have a plan"

That phrase was a constant and recurrent phrase on the TV sitcom "Hogan's Heroes"
Generally,
"I have a plan"
or
"Gather round, I have a plan"

Re: Easter Egg Hunt! - Jimmy Duhan

The art work for the card "Lt. Cmdr Sir Sandar Van Othlezee" is a wonderful "late in life" image of my late friend Jimmy Doohan, more familiar to many as "Mr. Scott" of Star Trek. It is both fitting this card gives a heroic technical action and allows for an Expert Jack of All Trades! Where ever he ...
