So... If I chose to attack the Buccaneer, I'd have to have a :av of 2 (1 :av to penetrate :dv and a second :av to destroy his :structure ). To defend against the Buccaneer, I need to have a minimum of 1 :dv Did I get that right? Playing the Scout, I punted and played "Calling in a Marker" to get rid...

Believe it or not, I actually understood the timing aspect; I just couldn't figure out when to pay for the cards.... :oops:

Jeff, Thanks for the reply; that cleared things up somewhat. What still has me puzzled is how I actually put them into play. How are Event cards played?

Are Event cards paid for and played directly from one's hand, or are they purchased during the procurement phase? The rules appear silent.
